If the recent news is to be believed, the July 2010 Nursing Board Exams (NLEX) Results will be released by the end of this month. This means that there will be an upsurge in the amount of prayers sent heavenward as August winds down. Tch.. if only all those prayers will be answered. It’s kinda disturbing to note that while there are still a lot of new nurses from the last Nursing Board Exams who still remain unemployed to date, here comes another batch of nurses ready to make the nursing jobs competition even hotter.

Well, it is true that competition only benefits the customers but too much competition will surely damage the competitors. Such a shame really. When you think about all those hundreds of thousands of pesos spent in Nursing Tuition only for these new nurses to run towards the nearest call centers, one can’t help but feel a bit of regret. I’m not part of the profession but I do know a few unemployed nurses and somehow, I feel their pain.

I just hope that the government is doing something about it.

But no worries, I’m pretty sure things will turn out right for these folks in one of the kindest of all professions. In any case the July 2010 Nursing Board Exams Results should be a huge achievement for those who passed the exams regardless of the immediate future that’s in store for them.

Elections And CPA Board Exams

After the elections comes a more important event. At least for CPA hopefuls. The May 2010 CPA Board Exams is just around the corner and accounting graduates who wish to take the cpa board exams are just about frantic thinking about what topics or what principles they might have missed. All those months of studying and taking the cpa review courses are almost at its culmination and soon it will be judgement day.

Did I study enough?

This is the usual thought that comes to a cpa reviewee’s mind whenever he wakes up in the morning. Heck even at all times during the day. I know this is my thought back then. Unless of course you’re supremely confident that you’ve already covered all the accounting basics then the cpa board exams will be just another brick on the wall.

For some folks the cpa exams becomes the be all and end all of their existence. It is the factor that will decide whether you get that extra digit in your salary down the road or whether you progress inch by inch. It could be quite helpful if a cpa hopeful thinks like this as it gives that much needed urgency which in turn could help him to focus even more at the task at hand. On the flipside, this kind of thinking could somebody’s thoughts spiralling into orbit.

No need to overanalyze it, really. At this point, each cpa board examinee should have already done everything in their power to ensure that they come to the CPA board exams prepared and raring to go. No need to cram now, it’s only going to cramp your style. Just take things easy and refresh everything that you’ve reviewed so far.

One final helpful advice, take care of yourself. This is the time when you should really take care of your body. All those hardwork, those sleepless nights would go to waste if you get sick before the exams. I should know. I had a few roommates who got sick before and during the exam and well, it’s a sad story so I won’t tell you all about it.

Power up on those brain foods, legumes, nuts, and don’t forget your vitamins. You should never take things like this for granted or it could spell disaster for you. You’ve come this far on your own. So don’t ever leave anything to chance.

Getting ready for the May 2010 CPA Board Exam Results?

Alright boys and girls, here’s my official bugle call to start the upcoming race to Google supremacy for the May 2010 CPA Board Exam results– that portion of the annual CPA Board Exams that’s dominated by the Green Archers of DLSU. I could say that I have a fair bit of time in my hands so I can afford to waste a few hours of my life optimizing for this event. I’m pretty sure a lot of my friends will be joining me on this one. Not too sure about bloggista though seeing that he just declared his intention of selling out. hehehe. Nah, I mean he is selling his blog– bloggista.com for anyone who’s willing to shell out a small fortune for that domain name so I’m not so sure if he’d be interested in this little amusement.

If I were a rich man or even just a man with resources who’s interested in making a splash in the internet, I’d be most interested. 5-10 years from now, that domain name would be worth a little nation’s GDP. But I digress.

Board examinees of the May 2010 CPA Board Exams from Aparri to Jolo would once again be hitting Mr. Google to check whether the results are already out and that’s what makes me really excited for May. So who’s joining?

November 2009 Nursing Board Exams Results

According to an unreliable source (hehehe) the November 2009 Nursing Board Exam Results will be released either this week or next week. Should be a blast this time considering that the elves have vested interest on this one. Their girlfriends are nursing hopefuls and I do believe that those two ladies will pass.

Last November 2009, more than 95K nursing hopefuls took the NLEX looking to become nurses and earn big bucks working overseas. Ok, that maybe wrong. Some of them will want to work locally of course but these kids are the exception rather than the norm. I’m sure once the nursing requirements all over the world is revitalized, these kids will once again be lured into working overseas.

The only hindrance to their plan is they fail in the Nursing board exams. I’m sure most of them have been burning their lines to heaven just to plead their case. Oh well, what can I say but good luck!

September 2009 LET Results

Teacher wannabes’ are really complaining about the delay in the September 2009 Teachers Board Exam results. Can’t say I blame them really. It’s been more than a month since the LET and yet the PRC has not yet released list of passers of the teachers board. Examinees are at their nerves end in anticipation.

Looking at the other Philippines Board Exams, the CPA Board Exams for example, results have been released after a day. It’s just too bad that the Baguio examinees were left out, but there was a natural calamity to contend with and besides the results have been released, although very much delayed.

As for the Teachers Board Exams, true, there are a lot of examinees but still it shouldn’t take this long. I really feel for the examinees, you know, having been an examinee myself a long time ago. All I can say is, there’s no use pulling your hair out boys and girls, PRC will release the results of the teachers board exams when they’re good and ready. For now, just enjoy your free time.

Oh and drink beer. Lots of it. That will take your mind off things.

I’m not talking about taking the October 2009 CPA Board Exams again. Or the results of that exams. I’m actually gearing up for the SEO competition that this keyword brings. If you search for this keyword now, a lot of those websites in Google’s page one are very familiar names. Let’s see if I can join the fray in the next couple of weeks.

Joining informal SEO battles like this is one of the things that gets me really excited. Yep, more than playing the usual Playstation games. I can’t say I’m already an expert on this game although I’ve had my moments. Last May, I totally dominated the CPA BOARD EXAMS keyword although I kinda expected that much knowing the efforts I put into it.

Unfortunately, this keyword sucks ass in terms of adsense returns. lol. But as they say, it’s not about the money. Not always anyway.

I also participated in the june 2009 nursing board exams seo madness. That one brought home a couple of bucks here and there although I wasn’t as dominant as I would have liked, guys like Jehzlau (hi Jehz, you don’t really know me but hi anyway, lol) and Bloggista are the big daddies when it comes to that keyword.

The good thing about dipping my chubby little fingers in this kind of activity is that I learn a lot. I experimented with various things, got great results, sometimes I also got burned. But the key thing is I learned. And that’s the cool thing right there.

And the guy that I actually learned from the most? Bloggista! lol. I have a mind to think that that guy is the blogging devil himself! Hahaha. I didn’t ask questions, I just analyzed like hell what he does with his blogs and oh boy if you can only see the things I’ve discovered. He’s devious I’m telling ya, devious!

Anyway, this has gotten long enough. To gear up for this month’s SEO competition, I’m gonna have to apply all my learnings, bare my fangs and see if I can bite a huge chunk off that $20 Adsense value that the October 2009 CPA Board Exam Results brings with it. :)

October 2009 has finally arrived, and along with it the second installment of the 2009 Philippines CPA Board Exams. For Philippine colleges and universities who want to stamp their class in this very competitive board exams, the October 2009 Philippines CPA Board Exams is the battleground.

As a rule, the dominant university during the May 2009 Philippines CPA Board Exams is De La Salle University. This is no accident. De La Salle’s educational calendar works under a trimester system which means that their Accountancy graduates are primed for the May Board Exams. Some other universities who have Accountancy students who graduate during the first semester or the month of October are their only competition, but there’s not very much competition there.

One of the more in demand jobs for nurses these days is working in nursing homes. With an aging population, especially in the US, home nursing care becomes even more necessary for folks to have better quality of life. These statistics go way back 10 years ago so one can just imagine how this looks now.

The Occupational Health and Safety Administration in the US foresees that by the year 2020, the demand for nurses in home care settings (including “managed care nursing home settings) is expected to increase by as much as 250%.
