Hint For Budding SEOs/Bloggers

Here’s something to keep in mind. Twitter is definitely evolving. It’s not just about those 140 characters anymore. I am not yet sure what they have up their sleeves but if you don’t want to get left behind in your SEO efforts, perhaps it’s now time to jump on the Twitter bandwagon. Either that, or continue to bang your head against the wall.

Cheers!

well certainly twitter got that glory…but don't you think stumble upon is better in terms of traffic????

Nikhil, Stumbleupon can get really viral, but I think Twitter's traffic is more targetted making it more meaningful. People arent just coming to your site blindly. They go to your site because they're interested in what you tweeted.

Using Twitter to showcase you posts that contain affiliate links is one way of doing it.

It appears to be hosted on my companies' domain. We do use Feedburner to create a feed that randomizes blog entries on our home page. I am wondering if there is something we can do to raise Page Rank and or visibility on the search engines.

One of the oft forgotten way of increasing PR is enhancing your inlinking structure. Make sure that you have related posts linking to each other. If you're using wordpress there are plenty of plugins for that. Smart SEO Links is one of them.

Blogger is incredibly limited, especially when it comes to your ability to self-promote, do SEO, etc. Plus, a vast majority of spam blogs are hosted at Blogger and you don't want your blog being associated with that.
