Infolinks Dream On

As an in-text advertising program, there’s absolutely little that can be said against Infolinks. Registration is a breeze, and joining the program is unlike other networks where they make you jump hoops just to join them. Some ad programs even require ridiculous amounts of traffic from blogs or websites before they let you join. Interestingly, when I joined some of these elite programs, the eCPMs I was receiving with them couldn’t even compare to the eCPM I get from Infolinks. I guess this just makes me appreciate Infolinks even more.

But more than the really strong comparative earnings I get from Infolinks (yep, Infolinks kicks Adsense’s behind in my sites almost every day of the week, sorry G), or the fact that I got selected as Blog of The Month for Jan ’10(ahem!), what really sets Infolinks apart from other ad programs is the level of personalization that they put into their customer service.

My first hand experience on this level of personalized service was when my Infolinks statistics was making a nosedive about a couple of months ago. My numbers were really spiraling down because of a hosting provider issue. I was really pissed then because whatever minute revenue I get daily from my sites were wiped out. Then out of the blue, I get an email from Infolinks checking up and asking me if something’s wrong as my numbers are not up to their usual standards and if there’s anything they can do to help.
excellent customer service This one really blew me away. I’ve never had an experience with an ad program’s customer service team like that before. I felt really flattered that Infolinks would take their time to send me a note. It’s not like I’m getting a billion hits a month (last time I checked I was at 12million) for them to feel concerned. I found out later on through communications with them that this is only standard operating procedure. So I guess this is what makes me most happy about infolinks – the degree of commitment that they put into their customer service. I say most because I’m happy about a lot of things Infolinks related. It’s just an awesome ad program powered by awesomely customer focused people (gad, I really should win one of those prizes now– lol).

Now about that dream that would make me really, really happy. I guess I will have to settle for the dream that would make me REALLY HAPPY ‘coz the one that would make me REALLY, REALLY HAPPY would involve scented candles, satin sheets, Marvin Gaye and a few (not just one) of those VS models. Alas, some dreams should really just remain dreams.

Anyway, back to reality. What would make me really happy is if I can get some financing to purchase additional desktop PCs (even 2nd hand) for my out-of-school youth trainees back in the province. These guys(college level kids) are just wasting away playing DOTA and other computer games in internet cafes back there. I’ve taken to training some of them in SEO and blogging but I only have a couple of antiquated PCs for them to use. They even have to do shifts just to be able to use the computers.

Job opportunities in provinces in the Philippines are really scarce. But earning money online doesn’t require them to be in the cities so this is a way out for them. I’m sort of pumped into pursuing this one because two of those I’ve trained are already earning money online through freelance SEO and blogging work (see this post). Getting those additional PCs would really help in changing the lives of those kids. Helping those kids, touching their lives– that would make me really happy.
