If you’re thinking of getting an iPhone 3G, you might want to hold on to your dollars for a few months– if you can control the urge that is.  Rumors abound in the internet that Apple is set to release a new iPhone model around the middle of the year.  Of course you know what that means, right?

Well, it’s simple really.  People will almost always go for the latest thing.  And why wouldn’t they, for a couple more extra bucks, they get the latest technology, the spiffiest gadgets, and the coolest features.  Why wouldn’t you pay extra for those things.  And the old version?  Well those are yesterday’s news.

This is also what’s going on in the minds of cellphone sellers.  Because a new thing is coming up, they would want to get rid of thier inventories as quick as possible lest they end up holding historical items.  This is really good news for us customers because if you don’t really care about the extra new features or you’re loathe to spend a few dollars more, you could catch the item you want when their prices are dropping like flies.  You get what you want at a much lower price than what you would have prepared to pay.

The only question is, can you control your itch?
