I’m not a Wii console owner but I think it’s interesting to post the best selling Wii games of all time. You see I own a PS3 console so I’m actually more interested in the numbers that PS3 consoles and games generate. This bit of information however is too good to pass up. If you read my post about the best selling ps3 games of all time, you will note that the actual number of ps3 games sold as of March 2010 numbered 290 million. Wii however already sold 545 million games as of May 2010. That’s a really, really big number!
Of course this has to be tied to the number of consoles sold as well so it would be worth checking out the number of consoles sold for both Wii and PS3. And the result?
Since both their releases in 2006, Sony’s PS3 has already sold 35.7million while Nintendo’s Wii sold a whopping 70.93million! That’s almost double the number of PS3 consoles sold! Price may have played a factor in these numbers but nevertheless, Wii is totally kicking PS3′s butt in terms of number of consoles and games sold.
Now if you’re a game developer, the question would be, which platforms should you create games for? Are you kidding? That’s a no brainer. You develop games for both gaming platforms of course. Duh.

Of all the consoles that have come to replace the old way of using your PCs to play games, Wii is by far the best.
I think a lot of people could have guessed Wii Fit would be on that list, but have you noticed Mario features on 5 of those games? Good old Mario, still going strong after all these years :P
